What is the cheapest way to protect a tile floor from paint?

I am the social chair for my sorority and we are having a Paint Your Date graffiti party. I need to be able to cover almost all of a large room with something to keep it from getting paint on it. In the past, we have just taped black trash bags to the walls and floors, but they always get ripped up when people walk on them. I don't have a large budget for this so trash bags might be my only option. What is the cheapest way to protect a tile floor from paint?
how about heading over to the local lumber yard and purchasing a few blue tarps and duct tape...you will also be able to reuse the tarps for events later onWhat is the cheapest way to protect a tile floor from paint?
painters use a big roll of rust colored paper that costs about $8.it is very think and you can not rip it by waking across it. it should cover a whole room. you can get it at home depot, etc. just tape it down. i cannot remember the name of it.
use thin poly from the paint shop for the walls and a heavy gauge poly for the floors .

tape together and have fun
