What's the best way to remove paint off of a wood floor?

My ';wonderful'; brother in law painted a room for me and left quite a few paint drops on the floor. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what I can use to get the paint off without doing any damage to the floors? Thanks! What's the best way to remove paint off of a wood floor?
The best, and safest way is to sand off the paint. It takes a while but you are least likely to damage your wood this way. If you use some kind of chemical stripper you could stain or damage the floor. You can rent a floor sander from an equipment rental company it will save you loads of time. You might have to re-stain any area which you sand. A paint store can help you match the stain. What's the best way to remove paint off of a wood floor?
You might try goof-off it is a mild turpentine, also try and scrape it gently with a single edge razor blade?
depends on what type of paint it was, if it was water base paint the like someone else has suggesed put water on it and let soak up the get a wet cloth and mop it up turning the cloth as it get more paint on the cloth you might need to change the cloth so you don't leave a smar mark, you could sand it by hand, if you hire a floor sander you need to make sure that you keep going at the same pace as if you stop you will put dents in your floor, and also you will need to cover every thing and close the doors to all rooms that have a door and put a towel in front of doors so that dust can't go under the door into the next room as dust goes every where.
you can wet the drops with a wet cloth. then with your fingernail or a coin a dime works best gently rub the paint off. allow the water to set in for a minute or so. good luck.
