You might try the DIY network. It is possible because I taped off a concrete floor and painted it to look like 12 inch tile.
If you want it to look like stone, select a base color for the floor, like grey, for the stone appearance this is best done with a sponge and several colors that you would find in stone. Your base paint will be like the mortar joints.
Then just randomly sponge in the stone shapes, remember to blot some of the excess paint off of the sponge before applying...also you might check Lowes, I think they have stencils for doing the stone. Good Luck, a fun project and a little time consuming but worth the effort when finished. If you want it to last, I would put a good floor poly over it, if it is exterior they make an exterior poly too.Where can I find directions for how to paint a concrete floor to look like marble or stone?
go to www.hgtv.com or www.diy.comWhere can I find directions for how to paint a concrete floor to look like marble or stone?
CERTAINLY it is possible, I've been doing it for nearly 40 years.
WWW general search using keywords,,,IE: FAUX finishes, Faux painting techniques,,,etc etc etc

That is not possible. You will have to buy marmoleum or vinyl - or tiles.
If you do not even know that - have it put in by the shop - so by a specialist. Any paint you buy for that - will be a waist of money.
read ';Spells and Other Things'; by Ima Witch.
I found very helpful faux technics/decorative painting books at the Home Depot and Lowes. Also at Barnes and Noble Book stores. I've read about decorative and/or painting cement to look like different types of stone and it doesn't seem too difficult. Good Luck.
Any good paint store sells kits for this.
