How do you stain and paint interior concrete floor?

i removed my carpet and thought it would be neat to acid wash, stain, paint and seal the concrete but i have no idea how to go about it.How do you stain and paint interior concrete floor?
H%26amp;C concrete stain is the bomb, and it is self-sealing. It is now available in water-base, and for an interior application, that is probably advisable.

A good, clean concrete floor etched with diluted muratic acid and thoroghly dried will take the stain well. Plenty in stock at Lowe's and Home Depot.

Now, there is an alternative, and it is catching on mostly on garage floors. Rustoluem and H%26amp;C sell epoxy kits that contain a seperate catalyst and require mixing before application. They have neat little bags of paint chips, that when scattered on the wet epoxy, give a terrazo-type finish when dry. I've got it in my garage and patio and really like the look. If it is too slick, they sell skid-resistant additives, and H%26amp;C includes it in their kit.How do you stain and paint interior concrete floor?
Ask at the Home Depot or Lowe's for a product called DRYLOK Concrete Floor Paint. Olympia also makes a product for painting exterior concrete patios.

A concrete paint will give you a very opaque look. If you want a more modern or contemporary look, try a concrete STAIN. Stains will give the floor some color but in a more mottled look so that the floor will have more character. This could be considered a plus since dirt and such will blend in more and not be so noticeable between cleanings! ;)

You may also want to seal it. Ask at the hardware store about sealers too. This will help prevent stains from soaking into the porous concrete. You can also ask them for tips on how to apply these products.
you can paint it with epoxy concrete paint or spray on a concrete stain.go to www.diynetwork.com
