Is there ant type of paint that you can paint over floor mastic?

After Ike I had minor water damage but it was enough to ruin my parquet kitchen floor. I had to remove it all and now have a mastic floor but can't afford to replace the floor for quite a while. Is there a paint I can use over it. Do not like or trust the answers from the Big Box StoresIs there ant type of paint that you can paint over floor mastic?
they do have paints but they will never last very long..... too many spills....too much traffic..l..
