How do i remove regular paint off a garage floor? previous owner painted it and now it is chipping away.?

Powerwashing would be my first choice... if you have to get every speck off, I'd probably sandblast the last bits off.

Warning: power washing can cause concrete to flake or chip if you get the nozzle too close to the surface.

Depends if it is paint or epoxy floor coating. I would not recomend sand blasting it off. That would be a pain and your floor wouldn't look right.

Go to lowes or a similar store and look around the garage floor epoxy coatings and you should find a floor cleaner. It will be an acid for preping your floor for epoxy. It is made to clean oil and any other contaminates off the concrete. Then if you want the floor to look good use an epoxy coating and be done. If you use the acid you will most likely have to do the whole floor but using a power scrubber would give you a clean floor and be less intensive than scrubbing all the paint off or using a blaster. How do i remove regular paint off a garage floor? previous owner painted it and now it is chipping away.?
You can use a paint stripper (brush it on, watch it bubble, scrape it off). A power washer isn't very effective for removing paint from concrete until you get up to about 3500 psi. So, you would probably have to rent one. A floor scraper might take some of the loose stuff up, but it's a long tedious job.

I would try the paint stripper (in the paint section of any home improvement store) and see how that works first. Be careful, though. That stuff is extremely caustic. One tiny drop on your skin burns like a wasp sting until you wipe it off with a wet cloth. Wear long-sleeved gloves designed for working with caustic materials and eye protection.
Just let it flake off. Power washing speeds up the process but is never satisfying. Paint removers get some but miss most. Every time you paint concrete, it's a problem.
