Yes you can. My wife's friend did it and I didn't notice until I really looked at it. But it looked really nice especially if you use a glossy finish.
Also, it depends where the linoleum is. If it's in a high traffic area, it might not be a good idea because of the wear and tear and the paint wouldn't last.Can I paint a linoleum floor?
Sure, can but it will come off over time.
